- Are my numbers sent to a server?
- No. The math runs in your browser and nothing typed is uploaded or stored.
- Which Shopify Payments rate is used?
- Online standard card rates from Shopify’s pricing page: Basic 2.9% + 30¢, Grow 2.7% + 30¢, Advanced 2.5% + 30¢. Premium or in-person rates are not modeled here.
- What does the international toggle do?
- Shopify Payments adds +1% for international cards on online standard rates. The calculator adds 1 point to the percent before applying the 30¢ fixed fee.
- Are third-party payment provider fees included?
- No—this models Shopify Payments only. If you use an external gateway, Shopify’s separate third-party transaction fee may apply based on your plan.
