Question 1

Are my numbers sent to a server?

Accepted Answer

No. The math runs in your browser and nothing typed is uploaded or stored.

Question 2

How is Helcim pricing different from Stripe or Square on this site?

Accepted Answer

Helcim publishes interchange-plus margins (for example 0.40% + 8¢ in-person on the $0–$50K tier) on top of true interchange. Flat-rate pages use one percent-plus-fixed for every card.

Question 3

What interchange should I use?

Accepted Answer

Interchange varies by card type, business type, and how the card is accepted. This calculator starts with an illustrative in-person average you can edit—your statement or Helcim quote is authoritative.

Question 4

Does Helcim charge monthly account fees?

Accepted Answer

Helcim’s pricing page lists $0 account monthly fees with no statement or PCI fees in its FAQ—hardware and optional services are separate.
